Advocacy for the Poor

The Advocacy for the Poor exists to focus attention on issues related to economic independence for the poor of Forsyth County, representing their interests, and working for systemic change. They have four focus areas: • Poverty • Housing/Homelessness • Lack of Affordable Health Insurance, and • Hunger Volunteers are needed to help out in the shelters. AIDS Care Services

The mission of AIDS Care Services is to empower and serve our brothers and sisters living with HIV/AIDS and to educate our community in the struggle against the disease. For more than twelve years, AIDS Care Service has provided services to our neighbors in Forsyth and surrounding counties through their many programs. Volunteers needed to socialize, go on group outings, provide transportation, help with activities, fund raising, etc.

American Heart Association

General volunteers for American Heart Association events and National Cause programs, such as Go Red For Women (focused on women), Alliance for a Healthier Generation (focused on children) and Power To End Stroke (focused on the African American community). The American Heart Association’s mission is to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. We focus on prevention education and awareness. Funds raised through American Heart Association events, such as the Start! Tanglewood Heart and Stroke Walk and Winston-Salem Heart Ball are used for heart disease and stroke research and prevention education.

American Red Cross- NWNC

Volunteer Opportunities: Daily volunteer positions are available at the Winston-Salem Blood Center and on bloodmobiles as Greeters and Canteen Aides. Volunteers are needed to help with blood pressure screening in the community. Volunteers are needed to help distribute brochures and flyers to the local libraries, places of worship, and other establishments, such as community centers. Also volunteers are needed as Emergency Services casework, Disaster Team members or administrative support and many, many others. Amigos- Latin Client Health Education Program

AMiGOS is one of the programs run by Aids Care Services. AMiGOS is an acronym for the Spanish phrase “Helping my people remain proud and healthy.” The main objective of AMiGOS is to recruit and to coordinate the training of volunteers to educate the Spanish-speaking community about AIDS prevention, testing and care. It also mobilizes Spanish-speaking volunteers to provide support and services for HIV affected people and families. The volunteers participate in different ways, such as support visits, translations, and cooking.

Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community

Agency Description: Arbor Acres is a full-service accredited Continuing Care Retirement Community. We are a community that provides a full spectrum of services designed to meet spiritual, intellectual, physical, psychological and social needs of our senior residents. Whether you can spare an hour or 40 hours a week or month, Arbor Acres can find a use for your talents and interests. Here are some of the ways you can volunteer at Arbor Acres and provide a valuable service to our senior residents in our independent, living, assisted living or special care areas.

Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County

The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County is looking for some dedicated volunteers to assist with our many exciting and on-going activities. We rely on enthusiastic volunteers like you to keep the arts vibrant in our community! Check out the below positions. On the subject line, please indicate which position you are interested in. Volunteer Positions Available Operations Assistant: Help the operations staff keep the Arts Council thriving. Tasks vary depending on the need. Events Crew: The Sawtooth building presents and produces a variety of events throughout the year. The volunteers will assist the events coordinator in a variety of activities including but not limited to: promotion of events, working at events, being a vital member of a committee, assisting with the master calendar, etc. Receptionist Assistant: This volunteer will assist the Arts Council in answering the phone in a friendly manner. In addition, the volunteer will greet patrons that enter the Sawtooth building with a warm smile and a friendly, “Hello.” Job shifts are in 2 or 4 hour blocks.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Volunteers are needed to be big brothers or big sisters for children that need a good influence in their life. Volunteers must be caring, responsible, stable, honest, and willing to commit at least a year to being a Big. Volunteers must fill out an application (found in Benson 506), go through an interview process, pass a background check, and provide references.

Be Healthy School Kids Program – Fitness Nights!

Volunteers are needed to assist the Forsyth County Department of Public Health with their Be Health School Kids Program. This program hosts Fitness Nights at 17 elementary schools in the area throughout the school year. Regular volunteers are needed to help plan these events, while one-time volunteers can assist during the event. Volunteers will help supervise family obstacle challenge stations (jump rope, relay races, 3-legged race, bean bag toss, balloon passing, kangaroo hop, etc.). This is a great opportunity for people interested in working with kids, fitness education or promoting healthy lifestyles!

Brenner Volunteers at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center

College volunteers are expected to volunteer a minimum of one time a week for 3.5-4 hours (a minimum of 40 hours/semester is required). College volunteers can choose from a wide variety of volunteer position description in both patient and non patient care areas.

Brookridge Retirement Community

Brookridge Retirement Homes is a church-related, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, providing quality care and a meaningful way of life to its residents. Volunteers are a valued resource who enable the community to fulfill its mission. Volunteers help with daily activities, one-on-one visits, exercise, arts & crafts, BINGO, special events and more.

Cancer Services

Cancer Services serves cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers in Forsyth, Davie, Yadkin, and Stokes counties. They provide financial, physical, and emotional support through medication assistance, equipment assistance, medical supplies, wigs, prostheses, support groups, wellness programs, and community education. Volunteers are always needed to assist with programs, special projects, health fairs, survivor conferences, and fundraisers.

Carver High School

Carver High School is a local high school in the Winston-Salem area, and they have just started an S.A.T. tutoring program for juniors and seniors meeting on Saturdays. We are now looking for volunteers interested in tutoring either the “Critical Reading,” “Writing” or “Math” portions of the exam. To be a tutor you need only to have done well on the section you would like to tutor (600 or above) and have an interest in helping a local student who would like to improve their score.

Here are some of the reasons that you might be interested in this opportunity:

-Teaching experience. If you are considering a career as a teacher at the elementary, junior high school, high school, or college level this will be an opportunity to gain teaching experience. Not only is this useful for applying for positions, but it is good for developing your ability as a teacher.

-Volunteer/service experience. This is an opportunity to build your CV for applications of all kinds (graduate school, professional school, etc.).

-The students. The most important reason, of course, is that these students need help in preparing for the S.A.T. Wake Forest has many students who have excelled at this test and this is your chance to step up.

The Children’s Home

The Children’s Home has been caring for children since 1909, and today handles mental health and foster care needs for a variety of children. They are mostly looking for students who are fulfilling service-learning requirements. Groups are welcome to plan and execute one-time events for children. Cleaning, repair, yardwork, farm maintenance opportunities available for groups or individuals. Campus Kitchen serves meals here as well.

Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem

The Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem creates a compelling destination for our community to play and learn by experiencing literature, storytelling and the arts. Volunteers are needed to help out as Play Specialists or Museum Shop volunteers.

City of Winston-Salem Storm Water

Groups can schedule times to remove litter from sections of streams. Ms. L’Esperance is willing to give a short presentation to your group. Individuals may inquire about storm drain marking opportunities.

Clare Bridge Assisted Living

At this senior assisted living facility, students would have the opportunity to design and implement programs and activities for residents as well as interact with and get to know residents on an informal basis.

Communities In Schools of Forsyth County

Communities In Schools (CIS) is the largest dropout prevention organization in the United States. For more than 30 years, CIS has remained focused on helping kids stay in school and prepare for life by identifying and addressing the unmet needs of children and families – needs that, when left unanswered, contribute to the dropout rate. Whether it’s eyeglasses, tutoring, or just a safe place to be, when these basic needs are met students can concentrate on what’s really important – learning.

Communities In Schools is looking for tutors during the school day in math and science and for their after school programs in the community. Also, practicum and internships are available as Graduation Coaches, working in the high schools to provide case management, counseling, and mentoring. These positions are available for social work, counseling, and psychology majors.

Community Care Center

The mission of the Community Care Center is to provide access to compassionate, high quality health care services to the medically uninsured and underserved who reside in Forsyth, Stokes or Davie Counties. Volunteers are needed for a variety of jobs, however, there is a high need for volunteers that can translate.

El Buen Pastor

El Buen Pastor is an after school tutoring program for Hispanic children. Volunteers do not need to speak Spanish, but if they do it is helpful. (Most of the children speak English, although some of the younger ones rely heavily on Spanish.) Volunteers are asked to commit 1-2 hours a week. Volunteers are needed to work with the Elementary School children on M-Th from 4-5pm, and with the Middle School children on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7pm. Carpooling is available for volunteers without their own transportation.

The Enrichment Center

Nationally acclaimed for its work in developing artistic talent and careers in the arts for adults with disabilities, The Enrichment Center is one of just one of a few organization in the country that incorporates all of the arts-dance and performance, music, poetry and visual arts. We provide an avenue into the community or our artists, not as “artists with disabilities,” but as creative, talented individuals. Under the guidance or professional artists, our students earn money through the sale of visual art, published poetry, and fees for performance. Volunteers are needed to tutor and assist one of our students, assist our classroom instructors in art, dance, computer use, daily living skills and much more, work in the Gateway Gallery(The Gallery is open to the public Tuesday through Friday) and help us maintain our building and grounds.

Family Services

Family Services helps needy families in local areas. Volunteers are needed to work with CONTACT Hopelines, CONTACT HELPline, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence help lines, Reassurance, Safety Checks, HeartLine, Court Advocacy, Project/Office Assistance, Foreign Language Translation, and Publications Development/Distribution. Forsyth County Public Library

The Library is a place to meet, share, learn and grow. We need talented volunteers like you at our downtown Central Library and at our branch libraries. Forsyth Humane Society

Volunteers typically work in 2 or 3 hour shifts. Daily, weekly, monthly, or whenever you have the time, although a regular schedule is most helpful. Volunteers are needed to work on general office tasks, help with animal care, be a part of the speakers bureau, take part in the Critter Cuddlin program, and to be foster parents for animals.

Forsyth Medical Center

Forsyth Medical Center volunteers are a valuable part of the FMC healthcare family. Whether delivering flowers and mail to patients or assisting families and visitors throughout the facility, 100’s of volunteers are needed to give of their time and talent to help others in need.

Fur-Ever Friends Adoption and Outreach Center

Volunteers have the opportunity to help homeless pets find a family, and the chance to interact with some great animals. Other opportunities include Education/Outreach Committee, Fund-Raising, and Special Events. A volunteer application is available on their website.

Group Homes of Forsyth County

Habitat for Humanity

The goal of the Habitat for Humanity group at Wake Forest is to build homes for people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to own their own home. Opportunities are also available to serve in the ReStore. To achieve this goal we combine fun fund raisers with construction work at the build sites. Community Home Care and Hospice

Community Home Care and Hospice company serves patients in several counties including Forsyth and the Winston Salem area. Community Home Care is an affiliate of Curo Health Services and offers compassionate Hospice Care, with clinical experience, to thousands of special patients and families in locations listed on our website. Our goal is to enrich the quality of life as life’s journey nears its completion. Through supportive, loving, comfort care we offer patients and their families comfort for body, mind and spirit.

House of Service

House of Service empowers impoverished single mother families to become proactive members of society. Guided by the teaching of Christ Jesus to care for widows and orphans and guided by his holy spirit, House of service accomplishes its goal through ministries that:

1) Build single mothers’ life skills; 2) Support children’s health and academic success; and 3) Promotes social capital within the neighborhoods in which single mothers reside.

The foundation for all House of Service ministries is personal relationships. House of Service staff and volunteers view each single mother and each child as distinct and precious to God. As such, House of Service uses the power of personal relationships to discern individuals’ needs and mobilize resources to meet those needs. We do not “fix” or judge, we serve: We are House of Service.

We are seeking a wide variety of volunteers both one time and ongoing. We have many events that allow behind the scenes help along with hands on activities like mentoring children. A short list of needs includes: preparing a meal for a HOS event, organizing clothing and food donations in our donations center, supervising organized activities and games in one of our target neighborhoods, distribute flyers to Moms and families about upcoming events, help a child with homework, assist with office needs, and many more.

Housing Authority of Winston-Salem (HAWS)

Volunteers work with the youth programs. They assists with the programs that are provided in the following family developments: Piedmont Park , Cleveland Avenue Homes and Stoney Glen. Volunteers help out with the after-school homework assistance program that operates Monday through Friday. Each area has a computer lab that enhances the program. All sports programs are an extension of homework assistance programs. Volunteers assist in these programs that provide an alternative to crime, drugs and other negative behavior for youth and an incentive for youth to stay in school by: Developing desirable traits of character Building physical fitness Promoting frequent positive relationships to increase sociability and togetherness Maintaining group spirit, pride of belonging and fellowship in a structured, positive and well disciplined organization Capitalizing on the unlimited potential and energy of youth to do thins and do them well Strengthening family relationships Youth sports programs include: golf, basketball and baseball.

Ibraham Elementary

Volunteers are needed to help tutor students K-5th in reading, math and writing. Volunteers can also help teachers as reinforcement in the classroom. Help is needed during the school year M-F from 9am-2pm.

iCan House

iCan House™ offers a unique venue for parents and interested community members to learn about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related issues, discover community resources and services, and purchase sensory related products. iCan House is a community-based organization, and as such, our volunteers play an integral role in the success of our programs, bookstore, and events. Our volunteers range from ages 10 through adult and comprise the iCrew. There are opportunities to get involved at many levels, such as: interacting with iClub members at social clubs, aiding iCan House in daily operations, participating at special events, and much more!

Independence Village

Volunteers needed to spend time with the elderly. Talk, play games, and visit with residents. Volunteers can also plan special events such as ice cream parties and social events for the residents.

Jefferson Elementary – Study Buddy Program

Students are needed to volunteer during regular school hours (8:00a.m. – 2:25 p.m.) with kindergarten thru fifth grade students needing extra help with math and reading skills. The commitment is 30 minutes to 1 hour per week during the school day. Our volunteers help elementary students with reading, writing, and/or math, depending on their needs. Teachers are responsible for giving volunteers the materials and guidance regarding how to best assist our students.
A Level I Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools online volunteer application is a preliminary requirement for this volunteer opportunity.

KidsPlus Youth Opportunities

KIDS+ Day Treatment Program for Pre-School and Kindergarteners is looking for volunteers! Volunteers will receive hands-on experience working with children with special needs. This placement is suitable for students majoring in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Early Childhood or anyone interested working with exceptional children. Volunteers will receive training and be required to submit to a background check.

Kimberley Park Elementary

Volunteers tutor elementary school children in math, sciences, and english after school around 4pm.

Liberty East Redevelopment Project

Volunteers are needed to work with the youth at the LeDera Crest Housing Site on Friday afternoons. Volunteers will be provided with activities for the children (movies, games, sports, etc.). The purpose is for the volunteers to provide a positive environment for the low income housing children. During the summer break, volunteers are needed 3 days a week and they may also need help during Fall & Spring breaks.

North Hills Elementary School

North Hills Elementary is in need of volunteers to help with tutoring children in a variety of subjects. Volunteers will assist anytime during the school day (8am-2pm). Volunteers will have an orientation and brief training prior to the start of their service work. North Hills will work with the volunteer to best place them in an area of interest. North Hills is very close to Wake Forest and is excited to work with WFU volunteers!

Old Town Elementary

Old Town Elementary volunteers tutor elementary school children in math, sciences, and English after school around 4pm. More tutors are always needed.

Operation Homework

VOLUNTEER TUTOR DESCRIPTION Volunteer tutors will work with students (grades K-12) on a one-on-one basis to answer questions on academic subjects, and to aid in the comprehension of subject material. ALL volunteer tutors must complete a background check. TIME COMMITMENT: The Volunteer Tutor position requires a minimum commitment of two hours, and no more than six hours per week, for each week that school is in session. In addition, each volunteer must attend a one-hour orientation during the week before the semester begins. The program is held from 3-6 p.m. Monday – Friday. TUTOR INCENTIVE PROGRAM:

Operation Smile- NC Chapter

Volunteers help with the Smiles Galore Gala in the fall and the Strikes for Smiles Bowl-a-thon in the Spring.

Prodigals Community

Prodigals is a Christian Community that helps individuals and families whose lives are affected by drug and alcohol abuse. They provide residential programs to help addicts and alcoholics live responsible and drug-free lives, and provide outreach ministries of education and support to families of addicts and alcoholics. Volunteers are needed for tutoring education (on Wednesday nights) and to take residents out. They may also be needed to lead a game night.

Project Launch at Paisley Middle School

Project Launch is a year long mentoring and educational enrichment program in partnership with the seventh grade at Paisley Magnet School with an emphasis on character education. There are 65 Paisley students (25 males students and 40 female students) who have been selected to participate during the seventh grade year for 2007-2008. Current topics, which are relevant to both Wake and Paisley students, will be the focus of the 9 early morning sessions held during Fall and Spring semesters at Paisley. The culminating session is a day long field trip to the Wake Forest Campus. Responsibilities of a Project Launch mentor include leading reflective discussions with a group of about 5 students. Males will work with male students and females with females during each session. One culminating session at the end of the year will take place on the campus of Wake Forest and will include a campus tour, educational activities, and lunch. Project Launch sessions take place during 1st period class on the Paisley campus. Sessions will begin promptly at 7:55 a.m. and end by 8:45 a.m.

Reynolds High School Tutoring

Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center

The Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem provides a “home away from home” for families of children who are receiving medical care in our community’s hospitals. The House and Family Room programs offer physical comforts, emotional support, education, and referral services designed to promote the well-being of the whole family. Salemtowne

Salemtowne, an accredited not-for-profit continuing care retirement community affiliated with the Moravian Church and open to all faiths, provides the security of a lifelong, caring environment that nurtures the well-being of its residents. Volunteers are a valued resource who enable the community to fulfill its mission. Volunteers help out with daily activities, visit one-on-one with residents, and help out with excursions. Some examples of opportunities include: administrative help, helping residents in the craft, sewing, exercise, music, swimming, and other classes, helping with the gardening committee, assisting in the gift shop/library, reading to residents, shopping with and for residents, and helping with transportation. There are lots of different opportunities, and the Director of Volunteers will work with you to match your interests to a variety of options. Salemtowne is very flexible with volunteers schedules!

Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club

Volunteers are needed to tutor, mentor and coach children grades K-12. There are also opportunities for volunteers to host special events such as a party, group events, or special outing. People with patience and kindness are needed to help children with reading and writing skills. Volunteers also must be a good role model and enjoy playing sports. Volunteers are needed M-F from 4-7pm during the school year and 7:30am-5:30pm during the summer.

Samaritan Ministries

Samaritan Ministries is an interdenominational, volunteer based Christian ministry in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County. Serving hungry, homeless and people in need, 365 days a year, our programs include: Samaritan Soup Kitchen (W-S’ only soup kitchen), Samaritan Inn (a 69 bed homeless shelter for men), & Project Cornerstone (a substance recovery program for men). Volunteers are needed at the Soup Kitchen and to work over night shifts at the Inn. Check out the website for a more detailed description of volunteer duties.

Second Harvest Food Bank

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC is the major distributor of donated food in the region, serving 380 nonprofit partner agencies that help to feed the hungry and others in need across 18 counties. Volunteers are needed to work in the Warehouse, tutor at the Kids Cafes, work in the office, work on Support Agency Relations, assist with food drives, assist with Public Relations, speak to groups, provide graphic arts and writing assistance, create videos, take photos, and to assist with fund raising.

SciWorks

The mission of SciWorks is to promote literacy, life-long learning and an appreciation for the sciences by providing innovative educational and recreational experiences for all people through interactive programs and exhibits, collections, an environmental park, and unique facilities. SciWorks is always seeking volunteers to help with summer camp, special events, school groups, Second Saturday Science, BioWorks, as a science demonstration assistant, in the Planetarium, Environmental Park, Garden, and office. Senior Services has a need for volunteers in several departments. The Shalom Project After School Program & Kids Cafe

The Shalom Project Kids Cafe is an after school program at Green Street United Methodist Church and a collaboration with 2nd Harvest Food Bank and the YMCA. The program runs Mondays-Thursdays, 2-6 pm. They especially need volunteer tutors from 3-5 pm.

Shepherd’s Center

The Shepherd’s Center helps with the needs of older adults in our community. Volunteers are needed to provide transportation to the grocery store and medical appointments. The Shepherd’s Center will work with you to assign transportation to you that works with your availability and location. You can volunteer as much or as little as your time allows!

SMF is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides high quality educational support programs for students who are members of vulnerable groups. SMF thrives on the human capital of its volunteers and their range of experiences to propel it forward. Because breaking through can be a random process, SMF uses different talents, perspectives and people to ignite a spark in youth. To serve as mentors for program participants, SMF has assembled a talented network of professionals, graduate students, and SMF alumni from the nation’s top universities.

Whether you are an alumnus or someone who is just learning about SMF, there are many ways to be involved with our programs and become a mentor or volunteer! We hope that you will consider the opportunities, like the following example, to make a profound impact on a student’s life and “develop potential on the periphery.”

College Admissions Mentoring: This is a 6-18 month commitment which pairs each high school student in our 3PI program with a mentor for their junior and senior years of high school. Mentors guide the students through an organized college research, financial aid, and application process.

Volunteers tutor elementary school children in math, sciences, and english after school around 4pm.

Special Children’s School

Volunteers are vital to the success of the Special Children’s School and play an important role. The volunteer program is designed to aid the teachers with classroom activities and enrich the learning experiences for all children by providing additional support and interaction. There is also the opportunity to assist other staff members and to volunteer for special projects and events. Check out the website to complete the online volunteer form.

Special Olympics Forsyth County

During actual Special Olympics events, volunteers would be helping with various event activities (timing, measuring, giving out awards). The Special Olympics is also interested in volunteers to help with weekend practices. A list of the sports activities for which help is needed is available upon request.

Super Tutors program at Arts-Based Elementary

Super Tutors gives elementary children power and excitement for learning through one on one tutoring. Excited, motivated college students provide one on one tutoring for children who could benefit from such help during the school day, free of charge. Currently Arts-Based Elementry does not have enough tutors for the children who need one. Many of the children who need tutors also can’t afford to pay for the tutoring. The teachers are overloaded with the children they tutor and cannot provide any more at this time. If this continues, the children that need extra help will not be able to receive it and their academic achievement and self-esteem will suffer.

Volunteers are needed any time during the school day (M-F 8am-2:30pm)!

Triad First in Families

TFIF is a family support project of First in Families of North Carolina that helps individuals with developmental disabilities and their families find resources to meet needs for which there are no other funding sources. With the help of the community – through the involvement of civic organizations, churches and local businesses – we can achieve many small miracles. Volunteers are needed to organize fundraisers and help make dreams come true for those in need.

Triad Information Reading Services

“The Triad Information Reading Service (TIRS), located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, provides access to print materials to economically disadvantaged blind and print impaired citizens in its 30 county listening area, which includes the counties of Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Nash, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin. Victory Junction Gang Camp

Victory Junction Camp enriches the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment. Winston-Salem Youth Arts Institute

The Winston-Salem Youth Arts Institute is founded to develop authors. WSYAI creates apprentice artists who author original written works in poetry, monologues, rap and lyrics from their life stories and circumstance. We develop their works for stage, film and visual art forums in collaboration with professional and renowned artists, who with us, will study: performance art writing, live stage, spoken word and film forums, design and production, and music. WSYAI is beginning after school writing workshops and academic tutoring sessions on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 4:30-7pm. Currently we are meeting at the Fine Arts Center of Salem College, in the drama workshop. To that end, we are looking for volunteers for the tutoring sessions! Youth Education Academy (GIDE-YEA)

We need WFU students to serve as Teacher Assistants. The WFU students who are proficient in Math and English will provide tutoring for students ages 11- 18. We will accommodate your student’s schedules. The WFU students will be managed by certified public school teachers.
The GIDE-Youth Education Academy is a North Carolina Department of Public Instruction 21st Century Community Learning Center program. The tutorial program includes assessments, planning, and implementation of strategic targeted academic interventions that are designed to improve the student’s current deficiency.
Our program provides after school academic assistance to primarily underserved middle and high school students from October, 2013 – June, 2014 at four sites in Winston-Salem, NC.
The sites schedules are:
Monday – Thursday ranges from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
Snacks are provided from 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm.
Extra-Curricular Activities are scheduled after 6:30 pm daily, Fridays, Saturdays Sundays, and Holidays.
The activities include the following:
Arts program : Visual – Fundamentals of Drawing and Painting, Performing – Writing, Producing, and Performing Drama

Physical Fitness : Exercise, Fitness Video

Youth Sports : Basketball, Cheerleaders, Career Exploration

Field Trips : College Tours, Career Exploration, Tours of Museums, Natural Sites, Businesses, and Historical Sites
